You will want to check out the hitch you have installed on your 2007 Ford E-350 Van to see what the towing weight capacity and tongue weight capacity your hitch is when considering a hitch adapter.
Using a hitch adapter like the Brophy Hitch Extender, part # HE12, will reduce the towing and tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. If your hitch is rated for more than 4,000 lbs, you should be fine using this adapter, but I would check the tongue weight and weight of the fully-loaded boat to make sure. I have attached a photo of this extender that shows the dimensions you can check out.
