6-Way Round to 7-Way Flat Recommendation for a 2000 Ford Expedition

I have a 2000 ford expedition it has the factory electric brake already installed.the plug on it is a 6way round I need the 7way blade will this part work and will the brakes work on my trailer

To go from a 6-way round on your tow vehicle to a 7-way blade you would want the Adapter 6 Pole to 7 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 47435. With this adapter your brake controller will remain functional as the brake output circuit is on the adapter.
