Will a Class II Drawbar Fit Into the Class I Curt Hitch # C11080
Question:
Hello, I have a CURT 11080 hitch. I would like to buy the CURT 45025 drawbar and the C40018 ball. Will these work OK with my hitch? Is there any other compatible LONG 11 drawbar with a greater rise than 5? Can I use a Class II drawbar on a Class I hitch as long as I dont exceed Class I towing weight? Thank You.

Curt states that Drawbar, # C45522, is the ball mount designed for use with Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11080.
Although the Curt Drawbar, # C45025, will most likely fit in your hitch, it was not designed for use with this particular hitch. If failure occurs when using this drawbar, Curt may void any warranty on the hitch.
As for using a Class II drawbar in a Class I trailer hitch, most Class I trailer hitches have a stop built into them so a Class II drawbar can not be used. This is done to prevent overloading the hitch which can cause damage. Curt does not install this stop but as I mentioned earlier, although the drawbar will most likely fit, using a drawbar that wasn't designed for the hitch can void all warranties.
The Hitch Ball, # C40018, and the Pin and Clip, # F-4, will complete your set-up.
