Expert Reply:
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98903 is rated for 400 lbs tongue weight and 4,000 lbs towing, but that looks to be more than what your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is rated for. When I looked up the online manual for your vehicle it looks like your van is rated for the following depending on whether you have the trailer tow package or not:
With Trailer Tow Package
- Tongue Weight - 360 lbs
- Towing Weight - 3,600 lbs
Without Trailer Tow Package
- Tongue Weight - 149 lbs
- Towing Weight - 1500 lbs
Since your van is rated for less than the hitch itself you'll be limited by your van weight capacity so that's what you want to remain under.
