Will the Curt Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier # C18110 Fit a Toyota Prius and Corolla
Question:
I would like to see this on a car. I have a Prius and a corolla and one of my concerns is the fear or dragging my basket. I was going to go with regular basket because it is a good bit lighter and my wife could use it easier, but now I wonder would the extra clearance be better. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The extra clearance certainly could not hurt. However you will want to consult your Prius owners manual because we have found that Toyota says not to install a trailer hitch on them. You will want to check with the Corolla as well.
Both vehicles will have Class I trailer hitches on them and Curt cargo carrier # C18110 is compatible with Class I hitches. You will need to go by the tongue weight capacity of the hitch or vehicle, whichever is lower, when loading the carrier. The carrier weighs about 40 pounds and the hitches for the Prius have a 200 pound tongue weight capacity so you would be limited to carrying 160 pounds on the carrier.
I made a video showing the carrier installed on a Prius for you. If you do not see the video right away do not worry, it will be there!
