How to Install 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier in a 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
The directions show the install with the 2” adapter, but not without. I have a 1 1/4” hitch and when I install this there’s nothing to stop the hex head bolt from moving around a lot there’s an inch plus before the pin. What’s the correct install for 1 1/4” so that it doesn’t move around?

To properly install the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 into either a 1-1/4" or a 2" hitch receiver you need to tighten the anti-rattle bolt down until the lock washer sets in place. From the photo you sent in it looks like you actually just need to tighten the anti-rattle bolt down a bit more. Once the lock washer is properly seated the bolt won't move at all and the hitch pin is just there for some extra security.
You can see an example of this in the attached review video starting at the 1:55 minute mark.
