Do I Need a Mounting Bracket to Install a 4-Way Connector on a 2020 Chevy Equinox Hitch?
Question:
Hello, 2020 Chevy Equinox LT. Im looking to purchase a Class 3 hitch. Do any of the compatible hitches come with the mounting bracket for the Tekonsha 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item #118285 or do I have to purchase a separate bracket? Thanks

You will need to purchase a separate bracket. I looked at our inventory and checked with our vendors. It looks like all the hitches for a 2020 Chevy Equinox don't have that built in tab.
You'll want to use the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the Tekonsha item # 118285 connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
The best hitch for your Equinox is the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C77FR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Equinox with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
