Cushioned Equalizer Kit for 35 Dutchmen Kodiak 302BHSL
Question:
Just picked up a 35 Dutchmen Kodiak 302BHSL. It weighs in dry at 6600 pounds. The axle spacing is 36 center to center. The hole spacing on the stock equalizer is 7 3/4 Id like to upgrade and wondered what was recommended? Seems like the ones listed are for either a 33 or 35 wheelbase. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
More important than the wheelbase when picking out a cushioned equalizer is the distance between the two bolt holes that attach to the shackles that you mentioned. Since you said your dimension is 7-3/4 inches the best option for a cushioned equalizer replacement would be the Dexter EZ Flex part # K71-655-00. This is the correct size, does a great job smoothing out the ride quality, and is the correct weight capacity.
