Replacement for ACT-7.5K Actuator on Mastercraft Boat Trailer

Question:

We have a single axle Mastercraft boat trailer with disc brakes. It has a Reliable actuator on it that we need to replace. Model # on the actuator says ACT-7.5K. What would be a good replacement? Thanks

For a replacement option I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX89FR. Any swing-away actuators like your ACT-7.5K have been discontinued so this is the best solution. This has a 7,500 lb trailer capacity, is designed for trailers with disc brakes, and is a bolt on replacement.

More than likely you will also need a replacement swing away tongue adapter like the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 3" x 4" Tongue # FHDPB340301 which fits 3" x 4" diameter tongues. This would allow you to replace the folding part of the tongue and add the new actuator.

I have attached some installation and review videos for your reference.
