Looking for a hitch. What is the best hitch for a 2023 CX-9?

The best hitch for your 2023 Mazda CX-9 is going to be the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 76020. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Mazda with included hardware. I really like this hitch because the crossbar is concealed behind the bumper leaving only the 2" receiver visible. It also has a built in tab for attaching a wiring harness using the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat item # 18144.
This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch can be used with a weight distribution system but it will not increase your Mazda's capacity.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118278 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
