Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.The hitch fits my 2024 Honda Pilot perfectly and looks great! Be aware that unless you have access to a lift and a helper, it’s NOT a 15-minute project as in the installations video. If you’re working alone and laying under the vehicle, as I did, it’s more like an hour. I used pieces of wood to block up one of the arms and the receiver tube, then used a bottle jack to lift the other arm and align the holes on that side. I threaded in one bolt there, moved to the other arm and lifted it the small amount needed to get a bolt started on that side. From there it was easy to insert a tighten all of the bolts. Everything aligned perfectly.
Perfect fit for our 2023 Honda Pilot. Hitch arrived in 2 days in perfect condition. Easy install. This is our third etrailer hitch.

Shipping was prompt and I was very pleased with the product that I received. The installation instructions and instructional video were spot on, making the installation very easy on my Acura MDX. I saw another owner’s vehicle recently, who had their hitch installed on the same model vehicle by a so-called professional. It was obvious that their hitch was aftermarket and not customized for the vehicle, with the installer having to cut the plastic trim to fit around the receiver. The etrailer hitch fit perfectly, with the installed hitch looking like it is OEM equipment. I am a very satisfied customer.

Great Hitch. I use it often for bikes and a CarPOD cargo carrier. Easy to install with great instructions. Installed in an Acura MDX.
Quality was great. Installation was simple and straightforward. My only complaint was the box was damaged in shipment, but that’s probably on UPS. No damage to the hitch.

Installed on a 2022 Acura MDX Type S Advance (with the Hands Free Tailgate). It will be used for a bike rack. The Hitch is a quality product but it installed too close to the plastic fascia below the bumper. I had to remove and remount the hands free sensor. If there is a revision of the Hitch by etrailer, I'd suggest locating the mounting holes forward (towards the receiver) by about 3/4" and increasing the length of the receiver by the same. Doing so would provide the clearance needed without relocating the HF Sensor. I did the install the Hitch by myself. I placed it on a floor jack, rolled it under the MDX and jacked it up into place. It took me about 3 hours total (witch including moving the sensor and relocating its wiring). Incidentally, the Hands Free operation still works by kicking on either side of the receiver.
Great heavy duty hitch. It was a very easy installation. The look is good as well. No modification to bumper required. Only complaint is packaging. The bottom of box was conpletely opened and the hitch had torn through both ends and 1 side. No damage to the hitch. I'm sure the shipping company stuggled with this package,
Horrible experience. I was so anxious to get this and install it to my new car but package came damaged and is missing the install bolts. Attached also is a picture of UPS when package was delivered
Eeasy-peasy install in about an hour. Hardest part was torquing the bolts to 136 ft.lbs Like how it fits like OEM and doesn't stick out past the bumper. Will be used to hook up a covered luggage carrier and small trailer.
Product is excellent very heavy duty, but the weight of the hitch broke thru the carton. Needs to be more secure inside th box. The box was almost destroyed by the weight of the hitch moving around in the carton. Hitch was Fine!

Box came a little bashed from shipping. Just a couple of small scratches but that’s on UPS.

2022 Type S - no kick sensor. Install was very straightforward, just required some angling as I put it into place to clear the bumper cover. Took maybe 30 minutes at most.
