Will 10K Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Work Well for 2023 Airstream International
Question:
Out-fitting to tow a new trailer using my 2011 F350. Tailer is a 2023 Airstream International 28 foot. Plannned to order the Equl-i-zer 10K,item # EQ37100ET. Need 3.5 inches of drop by my calculations. Which shank do you recommend to allow the drop I need? Would be nice to go with the system that includes the shank if that will work. Another consideration is that I would like to be able to lower the tail gate without detaching the trailer if possible. Will this require a longer shank? If so what are the disadvantages to using the longer shank?

The 10K Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET is an excellent choice for your 2023 Airstream International and it actually comes with a shank that allows you to achieve a 3" drop like what you're needing.
Since you're wanting something with a longer shank I recommend going with the Equal-i-er # EQ37101ET instead which is the same kit, just without the shank. You can then pair it with the shank part # EQ90-02-4500 which measures 14" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the holes used to install the head unit - giving you an extra 6" of clearance when compared to the shank that comes with the 10K system.
