Video Transcript for Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV Bathroom Faucet Installation - 2010 Forest River Flagstaff Classic Super

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'll be showing you how to install the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV bathroom faucet here in our 2010 Forest River Flagstaff Classic super light travel trailer. So if your faucet is just not working at all or maybe it's just starting to kinda wear out and corrode then it might be time to upgrade your faucet to the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV bathroom faucet. This faucet has a single lever design that can easily switch over from hot over to cold. It has a nice brushed nickel finish, but it also comes in a rubbed bronze and a chrome as well so that you can match the aesthetics of your trailer. It has a 1.2 gallon per minute water flow and the aerator comes off super easy. This is one of the things that people will kind of get into most often.

With the aerator screwed off, you can easily clean it out. This is one of the most common things, that this gets clogged up and just needs to be kind of rinsed out and fixed, and then all you have to do is just screw it back on. Installation of your RV faucet is honestly gonna be super simple. The toughest thing is really just getting your hands in behind the sinks just because RV manufacturers don't really give you a lot of room to work. So here's our neighbor's current faucet.

As you can see, it's kind of getting worn out, the finish on it's kinda getting ruined and it's just nothing that you can really clean off. It just kind of happens over time. Build up kinda gets on there and eats through it. So we're gonna go ahead and replace it. To replace that, there are two fittings down below that are just a screw-on fitting, so we will have to get under the sink, which pretty tight space, especially in campers just like this where you really just have this really, really tiny cabinet but should be super simple.

We're just gonna unscrew those off and we'll be able to plop our old faucet off. So here's the fittings I'm talking about, these just simply screw on. This is typically gonna be what you're gonna find on any kind of faucet like that. With these, they are plastic, you shouldn't have to really use any tools to get 'em on and off, but they may be a little bit tighter than your hand can handle at first. But you do wanna be real careful if you use like channel locks or anything like that, it can kind of start to mar up that connection point and then you're not gonna be able to really get it on there properly and you can end up having a leak.

Here's that little connection point, really, it just screws on. So we can go ahead and get our cold water inlet out and then we can start unscrewing our faucet. If you look at those two inlets, there's these black rings that are around it that are also gonna have that same kind of little tabs on it you can kind of grip onto and unscrew it. So you're just gonna have to take those off. With both rings removed, you can lift up our faucet and then you can see both those water inlets. Now the next step is going to be measuring your sink's water inlet holes. Ours today is spaced four inches apart, center to center. So we know we need to get a faucet that is four inches center to center, or if we have a single-inlet faucet, where it's got the two hoses coming out we just need to make sure that we can cover both of these holes with the little dash plate that kind of goes over that and lets the single stack faucet sit in place. All right, now we got our new faucet and we've got our components with it. There's gonna be this plastic gasket that goes with it and you'll notice there's a little ring that kind of goes around it. That, it's gonna be facing up into the faucet itself, that way it kind of clips into place, and then we can drop it down onto our sink once we kinda get it a little bit wherever you want. You may need to have somebody else just kinda hold it in place 'cause this is gonna wanna move on you cause it's a little bit more top heavy with the end of the faucet there. But we're gonna go back down there and we're gonna replace those rings that we had on there, then tighten it down and then it also come with another rubber gasket. So we'll slip that on first and that's gonna kind of press up on there and that's what actually holds this down to the sink. So I'm gonna get down there and I'm gonna screw these back on and then we can hook up our water. So I don't have this fully tightened down yet. I've got about 99% of the way, I left enough just so I can kind of move this around so that we can center it exactly where we need it to be. And once you find your center, you can go ahead and just fully twist on those little rings and get it nice and tight right in place. And then you can kinda give it a little jiggle up top on the faucet itself, make sure it's nice and secure. All right, now I'm just screwing all my water lines and we do wanna make sure that we get these nice and tight. Otherwise you can end up having a leak. One thing I like to do, just to ensure that there's not any kind of leak is put a paper towel or shop towel, something under it that will show if it got wet 'cause it'll dry and kind of crinkle up a little bit. So you can stick one of those under your faucet for a day or two and just kind of see if anything leaks out over time and you can adjust accordingly. Now we have our water lines hooked up. We can go ahead and turn on our faucets, test it out, and we can also just take a look underneath and make sure that we don't have any drips. Now that our faucet's properly working, we don't have any leaks, that'll do it for our installation of the Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV bathroom Faucet..

We have had this faucet for a year now. It is so much better than the OEM low close to the back of the sink faucet. The strainer unscrews to clean off scale. It was simple to install although working space was limited in our application. It also looks much better with the wife's decor.

Perfect faucet to replace our old bathroom since faucets. Very smooth operating faucet in operation for over 10 months. Definitely a strong recommend.

I purchased this single handle faucet to replace the RV manufacturer’s low rise faucet. It works very well. It mixes hot and cold water efficiently, and has the rise needed to allow for full functionality of our small bathroom sink. It is easy to keep clean also.

Well made product and looks great. Love that it has one handle, it's replacing the original faucet in a 1994 RV. Matches the sink we bought perfectly and was easy to install and work perfectly. Pictures are before and after installation of both sink and faucet we purchased.

This faucet is a great upgrade to the plastic, two-handled faucet that came with our Imagine Grand Design. This faucet is metal, so it's easier to clean and it looks much nicer than the stock handle. My favorite feature is the single handle, so you can more easily adjust the water temperature. It sounds silly, but I absolutely HATED trying to get the water temp right with the double-handled faucet.

Install was quick and easy. It took me all of about 10-15 minutes to remove the old faucet, clean the countertop, and then install the new faucet. I did take the advice on one of the videos and added a small bead of clear silicon to prevent water leaks to the subcounter.

Shipping was FAST. I paid for expedited shipping to make sure the faucet would arrive in time for our next trip, and the faucet was delivered a day earlier than promised.

We're very happy with this faucet! Our original camper faucet was short and low, giving us no room to wash our hands. This metal faucet looks great and has improved the washing clearance for us. The installation was very easy since it was exactly the same layout as original, and it should serve us well for years to come.

This works perfectly in my motorhome. Great replacement for my bathroom faucet.

by:

Very substantial faucet for a camper! Customer service at Etrailer is second to none & we are very pleased with tbis purchase!

by:

Perfect replacement and fit. Still going strong.

by:

Asking for a review before I have installed it. That will be awhile as unit is in CO and I'm in AZ. Can tell it is better than original item as this one has brass fitting and original one had plastic. Should do just fine.

by:

High quality (for RV products) and quick, clean installation.

by:

Very easy install and works great!

by:

Installed no problem. Like the metal feel waaaaaay better than standard plastic ones. After install loaned rig to my brother. The fittings were leaking the whole time. Just check and recheck water lines for tightness and leaks until the seals settle.

by:

Perfect replacement for the old faucet in our new to us motorhome! The old faucet was pitted and made the bathroom look dirty, but this really brightened things up.Installation was a breeze, and I love the fact that it's a single handle faucet.

by:

Excellent! Love my new faucet! Can finally find the warm without so much water wasting. Added to a new sink also from here. Thank you etrailer!

We've had this for about a year now. It's been a great upgrade for us. No issues. Thank you!

by:

It fit perfectly and works great in our rv. A plus from the original plastic faucet. Easily installed too.

by:

Looks great and works well for where we needed it.

by:

Good product, easy install and 1 yr later is perfroming as I would hope.

The Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV Bathroom Faucet # PF222504 is the part number for the Rubbed Bronze finish. The appearance in the product photos is exactly what it looks like so the # PF222504 does have a dark almost black color with slightly lighter spots that look like a weathered patina.
