Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the CURT Custom Fit Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for the Ram 1500 trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2013 to 2017 Ram 1500 trucks with the factory air suspension. And on this custom fit part, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model of vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, these brackets are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for the fifth wheel base rails. Now it will require the CURT Base Rails that we do sell separately on our website, part number C16104, part number C16204, or part number C16205. All three of those base rails, we do sell separately on our website. The only difference between those is the finish that's on them. Now, these parts here will provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes in your vehicle's frame.
You can see the holes that are drilled already into these parts. They'll line up with the holes in your frame, which will minimize the amount of drilling that's required, which, in turn, will cut the installation time in half when compared with the universal bracket kits. This kit will include everything shown here on the table. The mounting brackets. All the necessary hardware to install it.
And a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. These parts do have a nice, black powder coat finish on to resist corrosion. And these are designed to work with industry standard rails that are compatible with BMW, CURT, Draw-Tite, Reese, and Husky above bed fifth wheel trailer hitches. Requires less drilling than universal kits and mounts to existing holes in your vehicle's chassis to provide a secure and custom fit.Went in fairly easy . the front didn’t line up with the box cross support and I needed to put in longer bolts so I could get a nut on them.I may have done something wrong when measuring because the only one that was right was the one from back of box to the edge of the back support the very first one .Every truck is different and you need to adjust to your truck .would recommend this product for every installation made it so much easier.this is the first one I have done so what do I know.
