Because of the design of the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck trailer hitch for your Toyota Tundra (BWGNRK1257), you cannot stow the 2-5/16" ball that was supplied with your hitch upside down in the hitch socket. This plug is recommended to fill the socket in your hitch and help prevent dirt and grime from building up inside the hitch.

Because of the design of the B and W turnover ball gooseneck trailer hitch, for your Toyota Tundra, part number BWGNRK1257. You can not stow the two and 5/16th inch ball that was supplied with your hitch upside down on the hitch socket. This plug is recommended to fill the socket. That way, it keeps dirt and grime from building up inside the hitch.So, what you would need to do is remove the hitch ball when you're done towing, take this plug, drop it into the ball hole, and secure the plug with the latching hitch handle, just as you would secure the hitch ball.

I read reviews about having to drill out the hole to get it to fit. No problem. When I tried to install mine, I realize that it's not even long enough to reach the pin. I had to cut it off and weld a new piece on to get it to work. This was $40? Not a good buy in my opinion.
Well, it is what I wanted, except it will not fit such that I can engage the latch. The tab fits corner to corner and will not rotate so the hole will align with the pin. Rather than returning it and going through all of the money exchange and shipping, I am going to try to grind off enough of the tab on each side so that the plug will allow the locking pin to engage.
B & W Hitch Plug and the B & W 4 INCH Off set ball worked great on my goose neck on my 2014 Toyota Tundra.
Product arrived in good condition. As with other reviews I have read. I did have to trim the bottom part of the slotted hole to get the PIN to engage. I have a rubber mat in the back of my truck bed that raises the height above the whole by half inch. I would definitely buy again.
Nice piece. A little pricey for what it is.
Had to slot the hole to accommodate the thickness of the factory sprayed in bed liner.
Hole was not large enough to allow pin to hold it down.
Had to modify it to fit into my hitch great product but they should make one that fits into all hitches
The product did not fit the opening and was useless. I called and wrote mtg to no avail. Save your money.
very disappointed , did not fit properly had to be cut to fit.
