If your bike rack does not come with any locking features or the cable that it comes with is a little too flimsy, the Trimax Super Cable is gonna be the lock that's gonna deter anybody from theft. At the end of the day, you could always break into whatever kind of locks that people have on their stuff. This one is a really thick chain that is gonna deter them to another person's bike and that's the whole goal here. It's gonna really scare away those people who wanna take your stuff. Everything's gonna be made of a hardened steel and it does have a little sleeve that goes over it. So it's not gonna sit up here and take all the paint off your bike or your bike rack.
And we do have a big U-bolt down here with three keys and this one has a little light on it if you're doing it at night. It's gonna be pretty much pickproof if you see how unique these keys are. So you get three of 'em, which is nice. Gonna put this in here and take this out. So what I like to do is just make sure it is very, very tight, but as you can see, these links, they are half inch thick.
So these are gonna be very, very hard to cut through, a lot harder than your standard cable lock. Our lock, when it's completely locked up, at its tallest point, it's two inches and the width of it is gonna be one and 11/16th of an inch. It is gonna be chrome-plated, which is gonna help it resist against rust and corrosion, but it also does have a little nylon sleeve over top of it to also help with that. Our cable has some weight to it. It's made of hardened steel and it's five foot in length and it is gonna be heat treated.
So what that means is it's gonna be able to withstand a pull strength of six tons and a cutting strength of 11 tons. That's a lot. I don't think any type of bolt cutters are gonna really get through this. There's a whole lot we could do with this. I don't recommend putting it on your roof, especially when you're driving 'cause it's just so heavy.
You're gonna get some dents and dings. You can use it for stuff on your boat, like a gas can, wrap it around something. There's a lot of different things you can do for it and that's pretty much it for a look at the Trimax Super Chain..
