I checked the owner's manual for a 1999 Ford F-250 and it shows that the trailer park lamps are controlled by the number four fuse in the power distribution box under the hood which is a twenty amp. If the fuse checks out, there is also a relay to check located in the same power distribution center but at number thirty-eight. If the fuse and relay are good then you'll want to check the trailer connector, this may need to be replaced for which we offer the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness part # 118243.
If the new trailer connector does not fix the issue then the vehicle will need to be taken to the dealer for service as the issue is likely harness or computer related.
