Ford F-250 Super Duty

I purchased the 90° 7-pole wiring harness for the bed of my F250 and the OEM replacement 7-pin harness for the rear bumper. I'm the 2nd owner and for a long time I left the plastic bed-liner in it. When I removed it recently I discovered there was a hole in the bedside from the previous owner. I use my truck to pull a fifth-wheel camper too, and the bumper wiring harness pretty much maxes out my trailer's pigtail. Both wiring harnesses were very easy to install, and I was even able to trim the spacer provided with the kit to fit the contour of the bed where the previous owner had drilled the hole. It looks like it came installed from the factory!

Attached are images of the installation in a 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty 4WD 4 Door 8' bed. I left the 4 prong connection mounted, and tied and bagged the connection for future use if needed.

1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I have a 1999 F250 4x4 and wanted to upgrade from 6 round to 7 round to match the car trailer I had just bought. I had almost given up on finding a plug and play up grade and was preparing myself to start cutting wires. I'm so thankful that I found this web sight. They have a very large selection including the one that I needed. On top of that the video of how to install was spot on. I would not have thought of having to add a fuse and upgrade another under the hood.
They were very helpful, great turnaround time and great product. I will definitely buy from them again.

I got this 7 way plug for my 99 f350 because the old one was corroded and didn't work properly. This unit was priced right arrived in a timely manner and was very simple to install. I just had to find where on the harness the old one plugged in and plug the new one in.

the parts fit, brake controller is now working, just confused which relay was 38 and 39. I guessed and was right. thank you for the fast service. Yes I will order again.

Customer service is a joke. Attempted to return an unopened item and they wanted to charge a fee of more than half what the item cost. Never doing business with them again!

Showed in stock when purchased, it was not in stock, and I am now waiting for a ship date to be determined.

It worked great, I simply removed the old one and replaced it with yours and everything is working fine. Thank you.

Great, I have pulled several different trailers all lights work. No problems.

by:

I replaced my 22 year old factory plug with this and it works perfectly. Would highly recommend if you are looking for the OEM replacement plug.

by:

Part was just as described, it plugged right in to my vehicles wire harness and now provides trailer lighting. I would recommend etrailer to anyone!

by:

Well , first, I thought it was a ford replacement part , when it came in , not 1 but 2 of them serparate packages , then when I go to install, I see it’s not the double with regular plug also, so this part is useless for me. The one on my truck has 7 pin and 5 pin together. You can not take 7 pin out and switch with new one. Not sure why you sent two kits

You mentioned that you wanted to have a harness that would have both the 7- and 4-way connection. I am happy to see if we have what you are looking for. What is the year, make, and model of your truck? Did it come with a factory 7 way?

Gary

6/22/2022

Yes ma’am, it came from Ford that way F-450 platinum, all options. Let me know if you carry the dual plug together, please

I looked at everything that we have for the 2016 Ford 450 Platinum Dually and we do not have a seven way to offer that also comes with the four way. I had wanted to offer part HM40975 as a solution because it works with the Ford 350 however it will not. I am guessing it is because the F 450 does not have the round US Carr connection. That is my best guess.

1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I upgraded the tow package wiring on a "new to me" 1999 F250 Superduty from the jerry-rigged mess the previous owner had gobbed together to one utilizing the truck's existing trailer tow package, both for the rear of the truck and inside the box for the gooseneck ball hitch. The wiring harness, receptacles, et. al. from etrailer plugged right into the truck's wiring harness with ease, and I would highly recommend their products.
Customer service was impeccable...assisted with an order mix-up on my part, helped me locate the truck's wiring harness plug under the dash, and provided help with finding the correct harness for an older model trailer brake that I already possessed.
To the staff at etrailer---thanks and keep up the great work! When I need trailer parts again, you will be the first I contact!

1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I have a 1999 Ford F350 Superduty. Fit perfect to the old ford bracket and the wiring harness was an exact fit. Works like a charm.

by:
1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Great plug and play product. The factory option costs (depending upon the source) 3-4 times what etrailer offers, so this was the clear and wise choice. Fit the factory harness with no modifications.

Still seems to be working well. Thanks for the check up.

by:
2000 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

It is great that it comes with the relays and fuses and instructions for me to take off my 4-way factory plug and install the 7-way with the factory connector. It is plug and play easy. The only thing lacking is a bracket to mount the 7-way connector. I also fit this one because it has the round sealed plug to be able to change out the 7-way easily should it become damaged or if I want to change the style.

by:
1999 Ford F-250-and-F-350-Super-Duty

Yup, that's right even if you voted for Hillary you can install this wiring in your truck. Get a good hole saw, cut hole, plug and play!

by:
2002 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Should have bought the factory end. The wiring harness on my truck didn't match. I had to cutoff my old end and re-terminated to the new plug in order to make it work. Kind of defeated the purpose of having factory made ends.

This connector is only compatible with 1999-2001 F-250F-350 Super Duties. It will also work with 1999-2001 F-450/550 Cab and Chassis with factory 4 connectors and 2001 F-350 Cab and Chassis with factory 4 connector.

1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I utilized this product on my 1999, Ford, F-350 Super Duty to replace the OEM factory harness and it worked exactly as promised. Within several minutes the installation was completed and I was ready to tow. e-trailer customer service is excellent!

2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I bought the 118243 replacement 7 way trailer connector for my 2000 Ford F250 7.3 Super Duty. Hooked it up in less than an hour. I also needed the adapter bracket 11840. Without this bracket, the 118243 connector would not mount correctly to my truck. It would not clear the bottom of my bumper in the original mounting position on the bumper. I also bought the Pollak 7 plus 4 way connector because I have multiple trailers with different connectors. This product is HM40975 and I highly recommend that it be purchased with the other two products.

The guys at eTrailer really know their products and are so helpful. They know what exceptional customer service is all about. Also, I love all of their online videos and information on the website that allows you to make informed decisions. Their prices are very competitive too. With free shipping over $99, they can't be beat.. For those reasons, I will not buy trailer gear anywhere else.

2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This was exactly what I was looking for to replace the buggy and shorted out wiring between the factory connection to the Hopkins 7 way plug receptacle on our 2001 F250 work rig. There is a lack of a 4 wire plug for the spot on the factory mount but we never use that anyway and everyone has an adapter in their toolbox. The only hard thing about installing this was removing the old harness from the factory connector. There is plenty of length to reach from the factory plug just behind the spare tire to the receptacle mounting just under the bumper. eTrailer’s customer service was top notch in helping me select this specific harness for my application and needs, if you have any doubt that this is the part you need I highly suggest contacting them first.

by:

Awesome direct replacement fit . Plug and play replacement. I did have to drill a hole in my trucks mounting location as not all the holes lined up exactly but that was a minor inconvenience for the ease of replacement!

A year later its still working great

by:
2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Fits my 2000 F250 Superduty perfectly. I ordered this with the 7 and 4 pole trailer connector HM40975 since my boat trailer has the 4 pin. Too bad they don't sell the wire harness without the 7 pole if you go that route. Had to shim 3/4" for the bracket or the plug would be obstructed by the bumper. I'm very pleased with the result and service.
