How To Add a 2nd 3,500 Lb Axle to a Single Axle Trailer
Question:
can you add a 2ed 3500 lb axel to a single axel trailer and what would you need

In order to add another axle to a trailer you'd need to remove/replace any and all existing suspension components such as the leaf springs, leaf spring hangers, etc. I then recommend using the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs prt # APT8 which would pair well with the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e54SR. Finally, you'd need to pick out your axles which would first require some measuring but you'd need to mock up the hangers and leaf springs beforehand. The Trailer Axle Beam part # e38GR for example measures 89" long at the hub face and 74" at the spring center. If you want to reuse the existing, make sure the second axle is the exact same.
I have attached a full list of axles below as well as an axle placement guide.
