Troubleshooting Trailer Shackles that Reverse on a Trailer Over Bumps

My equalizer move and the shackels reverse bring the front wheel off the ground. should the equalizer be bolted so they dont move

The equalizer on your trailer suspension needs to be able to move, you might have leaf springs that are too short or your spring hangers are too far apart.

Typically when people have this problem the solution is to have the spring hangers brought in closer together.
