Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the battery disconnect switch with the lock mount bracket. Now, this will help protect your truck and equipment with this battery disconnect switch with the lock out. It is a rotary style switch, you can see right here, the switch will let you easily disconnect power from your battery. It's a very easy to turn T handle, and it's aluminum construction duty material to assure long life.On the back of the switch, you can see the battery connections right here on the back, and this is a construction duty switch that can be padlocked through the lock mount bracket. You can see it's on the on position. When you turn it to off, you can see the hole that's in the handle lines up here.
You can put a padlock through there. We do sell those separately, or you could even place a locking tag through the holes for protection.This will comply with the OSHA lockout tag out requirements. Now, this is a 12 volt switch, it features 250 amp continuous power, and 2500 amp surge power for five seconds. It does include all the mounting hardware, you can see here to mount. You just put on the lock mount bracket.
And a few dimensions on this, overall width is right at three and a half inches, overall height is three and half inches, and total depth from the front to the very back right here is going to be right at six inches deep.Again, it's in the on position, you just turn that 90 degrees, it goes to the off position and you could lock it if you prefer. I installed this on a dump trailer for a client. He was very happy with the quality of the switch compared to the other very expensive key switches that had failed several times before. Now he can use the same keyed padlocks he uses for everything else.
Perfect for our application. Installed it for a widow friend who had problems with battery drain due to numerous "vampire" current draws in her new travel trailer. Disconnects the battery when in storage and now good to go when she needs to travel.
Worked excellent and was not hard to in stall
Good looking switch... definitely heavy duty with all metal parts so should be durable.. will be used in theft prevention application with a pad lock. As of yet to be installed but sure it will do the job.
