Comparing the etrailer and Curt Hitch for a 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I am trying to figure out what the best option would be. What is the difference between the etrailer e25TR and the Curt C67JR for a 2023 Subaru Outback?

I will start by confirming that both the etrailer hitch item # e25TR and the Curt hitch item # C67JR fit your 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon. They are custom fit and bolt to your Subaru with included hardware.
Both the etrailer and Curt hitches are identical in capacity, function, and installation method. The only difference between the two hitches is the finishes.
I recommend going with the etrailer item # e25TR hitch over the Curt. The etrailer hitch has a matte black finish that offers a superior rust protective coat. The matte black also blends in better beneath your vehicle.
I really like the way this hitch installs because the only portion visible is the 2" receiver. The cross-tube mounts between your frame and rear bumper cover to be completely hidden.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118467 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
