To be able to tow a 42 inch hitch extension you will first need to know what hitch that you currently have on your truck, the hitch needs to be a Torklift Hitch # TLF1002-30 to be able to tow a 42 inch hitch extender without splitting your tongue capacity in half.

The Torklift Hitch # TLF1002-30 is a dual receiver having both a 2-1/2 inch hitch and a 2 inch hitch. It has a bolt on installation with no welding required. The hitch has a black powder coat finish that helps resist corrosion.

If you already have the Torklift hitch or after you install it then you can use The TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers # TLE1542.

The hitch extension # TLE1542 has a sturdy steel construction that has a black powder coat finish that helps resist corrosion. This extender has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 6,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 600 pounds.

The TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension for 42 inch SuperTruss or Cannon Hitch Extender # TLW6042 will extend your truck's 7-way connector back to clear your bed-mounted camper.

I attached a couple review video links below.
