When using a hitch extender like the Curt part # C45791 you end up cutting the towing capacity of the hitch by 50 percent due to the added leverage and movement created. You also have to be sure to stay under the weight capacity of the hitch extender as well which in this case is 3,500 lb trailer weight and 350 lb tongue weight.
