Can the Buyers Products Hitch Extender with Step Be Used for Towing

Hi I have a Detail DK2 5x7 trailer on which Id like to carry a 15.5 foot canoe, I think if I center the boat on the trailer and use an extender I will get the turning radius I need to pull my canoe on the DK2 and save my back a few years of wear and tear each summer. Is it ok to use an extended this way and is there a model in the 12-18 inch range that you would recommend? Thanks

The Buyers Products Hitch Extender with Step part # 3371804017 can be used for towing you'll just need to be mindful of capacity. The extender like most others will reduce your trailer hitch's weight capacity by 1/3 so as long as the hitch is rated appropriately with this in mind you'll be good to go.
