DEXTER Suspension Kit for Tandem Axle Trailer With 7,000LB Axles

Hello, I have a 7000LB Tandem axle trailer with 33inch Axle spacing and a 7 3/4inch equalizer. Which kit would work with my setup, K71-449-00, with 7 3/4inch equalizer but for 35inch axle spacing or kit K71-359-00 with 33inch axle spacing but a 5 3/4inch equalizer?

You will want the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit # K71-449-00 as it matches the 7-3/4" equalizer size your trailer currently has. The 33" and 35" axle spacing is a general guide but it is best to replace based off the size of your current equalizer.

We also have the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 that will fit if you would like to upgrade to a cushioned equalizer. The cushion helps to absorb road shock and will reduce trailer chucking.

I recommend using the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 with the Grease Gun # L30416 on the wet bolts. This grease is specifically formulated to work under extreme pressure in both hot and cold climates.

The difference is the length of the equalizers that come with the kit. The part #K71-449-00 comes with equalizers that are 7-3/4 inches from eye to eye whereas the part #K71-359-00 has equalizers that are 2 inches shorter at 5-3/4 inches.
