Reducing Movement of etrailer Cargo Carrier in a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
Hello, I recently bought etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier from your website. I installed it and I have no problem with the cargo carrier. However When I attach to my tow hitch which I believe is a Curt manufactured one my cargo carrier move to the right and left. How can I avoid these movements. Thanks

Because a trailer hitch receiver opening has to be slightly larger than the shank on the cargo carrier there can be some up and down and/or side to side movement. This is true for any trailer hitch.
To limit, and in some cases eliminate, movement you can use an anti-rattle device such as # e99047. This device also acts as a hitch lock and pulls the hollow 2 inch shank of an accessory tight against the inside of the hitch receiver. This will limit the movement of the carrier though you may still see some movement. I have linked a video showing how it works.
