Ground Clearance For Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver 75270 On a 2008 Honda Odyssey
Question:
We are looking at part #75270 for our 2008 Honda Odyssey in order to attach a bike rack. What is the clearance once the hitch is attached? We are concerned that it will ride too low. Thank you!

When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270 on a 2008 Honda Odyssey in our shop, we found it had a receiver height of 12-1/4" to the inside top of the receiver tube. This would equate to around 9-3/4" of ground clearance on that vehicle. Do understand that the measurement may be different on your Odyssey depending on any sag from the suspension or additional weight you may have over the one we fit the receiver on.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118438 when you install the receiver. This will provide you with a 4-way flat trailer connector that will allow you to tow most small trailers as well as use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with hitch mounted accessories that impair the view of your tail lights. If you choose to route the 4-way outside of your Odyssey the Mounting Brackets # 18140 and # 18144 will allow you to secure the 4-way to the receiver cross tube without drilling.
