Availability of Custom Brake Controller Wiring Harness for 2000 Toyota Tundra
Question:
Does your 90885 P2 controller plug into my 2000 Tundra under dash wiring harness. If not, is there one that does ? Thanks

You can install a trailer brake controller like the # 90885 on your 2000 Toyota Tundra, but this truck isn't equipped with a factory port behind the dash to allow for a plug-and-play installation. If you found a wiring harness under the dash it is not for a brake controller. This means that a brake controller like the P2 will have to be hard wired.
If you don't already have a 7-way you will need to add one before installing your brake controller. The first thing you will need is a 4-way like the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118367. Once installed, you can add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else you need to upgrade to a 7-way. Once installed, you will be able to add your brake controller.
If you would rather not have a hard wire installation you could use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 as an alternative. This plugs in-line with the 7-way at the back of your vehicle and is controlled via the app on your phone. The app controls the braking power and also works as the manual override.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
