Installation Details for Curt Class I Hitch # C11204 on 2005 Honda Civic 4 door
Question:
Info stated no drilling required. Do you still have to fish tail the plate and bolt?. I looked underneath my car and noticed a hole that is blocked by the muffler. Does the muffler have to be lowered or removed. Thanks

You are correct, the spacer block and bolt will need to be fished through the frame. I have linked you to a video that explains this technique.
If you need to lower the exhaust a bit in order to access the mounting holes, I have linked you to a video showing how this is done. Simply spray the rubber isolator and mounts with a spray lubricant like WD-40 and slide the mount out of the isolator.
I have also linked you to the hitch installation instructions, as well as to an FAQ article that provides other hitch installation tips that you might find helpful.
