How Can I Attach My 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness to the Back of My Hitch Receiver?

For a great way to attach your # 118540 to your 2013 Ford Explorer, I recommend the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 along with the no-drill mounting bracket # 18136 for a drill-free solution.

I went ahead and attached videos that shows you the installation process of these parts.

You can still use the mounting brackets on round crosstubes/hitches. The # 18144 can drill into a round surface. As far as the no-drill solution # 18136, you may have to get creative as to where you place the zip ties. Note that you do not have to necessarily secure your plug to the hitch; the plug just needs to be in a location where you can access it with the other side of the plug at the rear of the vehicle. I went ahead and attached a photo of a neighbor using zip ties to fasten it to some bolt holes on the fascia above his round-tube hitch.
