For a protective cover for your roof vents I recommend the MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover w/ EZClip - Black # MA86JR. This is cover uses a high-density polyethylene construction that is UV resistant and will also protect your roof vent from rain and other debris.

If you have a MaxxFan this is a no drill installation but it can be used on other vents as well with some drilling. This cover also uses EZClip pins which allow you to easily open or remove the cover for maintenance. This cover comes with a 6-year limited warranty and is made in the USA.
