What Cargo Carrier do You Recommend to Use with My Keystone Cougar 27RDS?

Im interested in Purchase the bumper cargo carrier # e99049. I asked Keystone for a rating, but they declined. I have a Keystone Cougar 27 RDS. It looks Light to medium duty. Does the kit have brackets to re-enforce. I dont see me exceeding 300lbs.

If you do not seeing yourself exceeding 300 pounds of cargo when using the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99049, the carrier definitely can hold 300 pounds. This is because the cargo carrier itself is rated to use up to 500 pounds of cargo. The only way to know for sure if you can safely use the cargo carrier on your bumper is to find out the bumper weight capacity of your bumper on your Cougar 27RDS. While the # e99049 comes with brackets to attach to your bumper, it does not include any hardware to reinforce the bumper itself in order to raise the bumper's capacity.
With all said and done, you can always choose to install a rear hitch like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 66" Wide # C13704. This hitch comes with adjustable brackets that allow you to mount to trailer frames between 22-66 inches wide. It also comes with a 500-pound maximum tongue weight capacity. In order to make sure this hitch fits, I recommend measuring the width of your trailer from left-to-right. This hitch will allow you to use the full 500 pounds of the hitch-mounted version of the 24x60 Carrier # e98874. For a locking hitch pin, I recommend the # e99047.
