Will the Swagman XC Cross Country 2-Bike Rack Fit on a 2007 Toyota Rav 4
Question:
I am trying to find out if the XC Extreme Cruiser 2-Bike Cross Country Rack for 1-1/4 and 2 Trailer Hitch Receivers will fit on a 2007 Rav 4 with a spare tire that is mounted on the back of the vehicle? Is there some sort of extension available so that the bikes will not be jammed up against the spare tire.

The Swagman XC Cross Country 2-Bike Rack, item # S64650, has a measurement of 10-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the bike rack which is the wheel loop.
You will need to measure from the center of your receiver hitch pin hole, to the farthest out part of your spare tire, to determine the fit of a hitch mounted bike rack. If your measurement is less than 10-1/2 inches then the Swagman XC bike rack will work with your rear mounted spare tire. I added a photo of a 2007 Rav4 with an aftermarket etrailer Class III hitch, # e98864, on it and the measurement is 7 inches on this vehicle with this hitch so the bike rack will work with this combination,
There are extenders available (see link) to extend the bike rack out away from the vehicle but you will need to take into account that the tongue weight capacity of the lowest rated item, vehicle, hitch, bike rack or extender will be reduced by 50 percent. You will be limited to this weight including bikes, bike rack, extender and any items loaded behind the rear axle in the vehicle.
