The Second difference being the paint job, the etrailer # e98909 is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches like the Curt # C13176. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

If you don't already have a trailer connector then I recommend installing the Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Chevrolet/GMC # HM11141144.
