Today we're going be taking a look at the bracket assembly for Polar Economy Side Door Locks. This unit is made from a stainless steel construction. It's going to feature a nice, smooth hinge design that allows for smooth operation of the unit. The back piece is going to have the 2 mount holes on it. That's going to be the piece that gets mounted to your trailer. Now, your hardware is not included.
It's got the curve portion right here that would get welded to the pipe on the door lock. This is designed for 1 inch diameter pipes. Taking a few measurements real quick, the distance that we have between those mount holes, center-on-center; it's going to be 3 and 1/4 inches. The overall length of that back plate is going to be 4 and 1/2 inches. The mount hole diameter is 3/8ths of an inch. If we take a measurement from the back of the hinge to the outermost point of the unit; that's going to give us a measurement of about 4 and 1/8th of an inch.
