We definitely have options available to add a brake controller to your 2002 Chevy Silverado C3500. You may need an extra part depending on if it came with a 7 Way from the manufacturer or not, but I have a good option for that as well.

With that said, if it didn't come with the 7 Way the wires were still run to get one attached. This will make attaching the Hopkins # HM40975-11998 very quick and easy and will get you the 7 Way, and the 4 Flat as well, that is being equipped on modern GM trucks. However, there may be a factory port to plug the # 30955 into, but I was unable to find if this was used on the cab and chassis models or not. I included a picture of what this will look like.

With that out of the way, we can get to the controller. For this, I recommend going with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR. This is able to handle up to 3 axles (6 brake assemblies) and can be used with electric or electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes. The # 3025-S pigtail can then be wired to the controller and will plug directly into a port under your dash. Quick and easy.
