Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2021 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I'm looking to install a 2" hitch on my 2021 RAV-4 for use with my bike rack but I want to go ahead and get it outfitted for towing as the wife and I will be getting a small teardrop camper in the near future. What do you recommend?

I'd be more than happy to help out! It sounds like you're still in the market for a hitch so I'll start from the top.
For a trailer hitch I recommend the etrailer Hitch Receiver # e23ZR because it gives you a hidden crosstube design coupled with a matte black finish for a really sleek-looking install.
Then for wiring you'll want to go with the T-One # C56434 which will tee in behind your tail lights and give you a reliable wiring solution. If you can locate a grommet in the cargo area of your RAV4 you can use mounting brackets # 18144 and # C57202 to keep your wiring next to your receiver. Be sure to seal up the grommet with a gasket maker like part # LT37467.
To round out your towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend the kit # EBMK4 because it comes with a few different options that would work well for any smaller teardrop trailer that you'll tow with your RAV4.
