How to Figure Out Which Trailer Axle Will Fit My Trailer

Though we should have a replacement axle available for you, I was unable to find any info on what came on your 1987 Pacific Trailer, unfortunately. With that being said, you will need to find a few things.
First you will need to measure from the center of one spring seat to the center of the other and then from hub face to hub face. This will get you the needed lengths, but you will need a couple more things to find the correct one.
Next will be the capacity needed. We have axles rated from 1,200 pounds up to 7,000 pounds, but this can be difficult to find sometimes. Typically the capacity will be on a sticker/label on the axle, but these do fall off, fade, and or wear out over time. If this is the case, you can also check the trailer coupler to see if it is stamped on it or if there is a tag with the capacity. If there is still no label or capacity that can be found, you may be able to contact Pacific Trailers, but with it being an 87 model, they may not be able to tell you. You can also go off the diameter of the axle if this happens, but it may not be as accurate.
The other thing you can do is check your bearing numbers. This will need to be done anyway, but again, will not be 100% accurate. It will confirm the hubs/drums needed though, so it is important. Especially if you will be reusing your current hubs/drums.
The last thing you will need to do is confirm your bolt pattern if you were going to replace the hubs as well. I included an article that will help find your bolt pattern as this can be a little complicated, but it will make everything nice and easy. I also included a link to our axle page.
