Easy Maintenance Electric Trailer Brakes Recommendation For Timbren Axle-Less Suspension #ASR35HDS02

Question:

I just placed an order for a series of upgrades Im doing to my Toy Hauler camper, including Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4inch Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs Part# ASR35HDS02. I want to add electric trailer brakes and need a recommendation for the correct brakes. I would like a premium option that will last and require the least amount of maintenance as it will be used for volunteer Search and Rescue work and I would like to minimize the number of things requiring high maintenance as I have a lot of other gear to maintain already ??. Thank you for your help

To go with your Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR35HDS02 I recommend the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459. This brake kit is self adjusting so that you will not have to adjust the brakes after the first 200 miles or every 3,000 miles after that. It has the same 5 bolt mounting pattern and includes a brake for the left and right side.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-9UC3-EZ contains 1 complete hub assembly with the correct races, bearings, grease seal, spindle nut, lock washer, dust cap and lug nuts for one spindle. So be sure to get 2 of these for your setup. This hub has a lug nut pattern of 6 on 5-1/2" and uses 1/2" studs. You will need to use a 14-1/2" to 16" wheel to fit the drum properly. If you need help selecting a wheel and tire please let me know if you had a particular size that you will be limited to.

I recommend using the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 both during assembly and regular maintenance on your hub. This grease is formulated to work very well in both the extreme hot and cold climates you may endure. With the spindles having the grease zerk you will be able to easily add additional grease making maintenance a very simple process. The # 8-201-9UC3-EZ is pre-greased.
