Can Hub and Drum Assemblies be Changed on a Military Trailer

Question:

I have a military trailer that I would like to change the rims of it because it has a split rim. But the bolt pattern on it is much bigger than any other rims. So I think changing the drum would be easier. So I wounded if this could be done.

You may be able to change hub and drum assemblies on your trailer. I would need to know the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings. With that information I can determine which assemblies will fit.

If for some reason you are unable to get the numbers off the bearings, you can measure the spindle instead. These measurements have to be as accurate as possible so you should use calipers to measure the spindle to the thousandth of an inch. I included a picture that shows where to measure.
