Are Thread Forming Screws 58437 For Reese Dual Cam Sway Control RP26002 Reuseable?
Question:
I just need to transfer my dual-cam sway control from one trailer to another both tube frames. I know I need the rivet nuts since they are stuck/formed to the frame but do I need to buy new thread forming screws along with the new rivet nuts? Or can I can use the mounting bolts from my existing trailer? In other words are the thread forming screws torque-to-yield or another type of “1-time use” that would prevent me from reusing them on my new trailer with new rivet nuts?

I reached out to my contact at Reese and you are correct that you will need new rivet nuts # RP58507 to install your Reese Dual Cam Weight Sway Control # RP26002 on your new trailer.
He mentioned that the replacement thread forming screws # 58437 can be reused as long as they are still in good shape, but you should use some thread locker like # LT37643 to keep them from backing out.
If the screws are not in the best of shape then you will need to replace them with the # 58437.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
