Trailer Wiring and Location of Adapters on a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Limited Edition
Question:
i have a 2014 mitsubishi outlander limited edition car and I wanted to get a trailer. i looked at many videos about the trailer wiring where you have to take the wall off and there will be a free to use plug. I couldnt find it anywhere tho, I tried both right side and left.

The wiring kit you referenced item # 118518 uses a different wiring adapter because it is for an earlier model Mitsubishi Outlander.
The correct wiring harness you need for your 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Limited Edition is item # 118482. This wiring harness installs behind your rear tail lights on both sides of your vehicle. You will need to unplug the connector that is connected to your vehicles tail lights and insert the trailer wiring harness between those plugs you just disconnected. I have linked a couple of installation videos to demonstrate where these connectors you're looking for can be found.
If you're in need of a hitch receiver I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13163. This is a custom fit 2" receiver that attaches to your Outlander without any drilling or welding. It has a 600 lbs tongue weight and can tow up to a 4,000 lbs trailer.
