Front Trailer Hitch Receiver Options For 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question:

What front mount hitches are available for a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71. Wanting to use it for a fishing rack for the outer banks nc. Would like one that doesn’t effect ground clearance. Preferably for the receiver to be in line with the tow hooks or center of tag bracket.

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31322 and Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65052 are the 2 options available for a front mounted receiver on your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Both of these receivers will sit below the bumper and have identical load ratings of 500lbs tongue weight, 5,000lbs trailer capacity and 9,000lbs line pull.

The main difference is in the construction of the 2 parts and where they mount to the frame. The Draw-Tite # 65052 is all welded into one piece. It attaches to the frame with 3 bolts and requires no drilling. The front air dam will need to be trimmed or removed.

The Curt # 31322 has side plates that will bolt onto the receiver tube. The side plates connect to factory bolts already in the frame rails. No drilling will be required but will also require trimming of the front air dam or removal.
