Does Curt Assure Brake Controller Require Level Ground to Configure
Question:
I am trying to setup my curt assure brake controller 51160. It states you have to be level to configure. I do not have anywhere level to configure. Will this be a problem? Also does this reconfigure every time you plug the trailer in? 2012 chevy colorado

It is recommended to run the configuration of the Curt Assure part # C49UR when you are level ground. I would try to find a parking lot near you that has a level surface and try it there. At worst you should be able to get it really close on unlevel ground but once you find level ground check it there as well.
You would not need to reconfigure it with every use. It will store setting unless you cut power to it.
