Can A 4-Way Trailer Connector Plug Into A 5-Way Vehicle Connector?
Question:
i have a 4 runner with a 7 pin trailer hook up, my adapter is 7 pin to flat 5 pin, I just got a boat that has a flat 4 pin, can I hook up the flat 4 pin trailer to the flat 5 pin adapter

You sure can.
Your 4-way connector will plug directly into a 5-way connector, so your 7-way to 5-way adapter for your Toyota 4Runner will still work fine.
