I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98846 for your 2016 Nissan Rogue. This hitch is custom fit to bolt to into the factory weld nuts that are on your Rogue. This hitch is rated for 525lbs of tongue weight and 3,500lbs or trailer weight. Be sure to check your owners manual for what your specific Rogue is capable of and use the lesser of these numbers.

The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11143645 will give you a 4-way flat trailer connection. This is required when towing a trailer and can come in handy for adding Auxiliary Lights # C53201 to bike racks or cargo carriers that may block the view of your taillights.
