Is It Ok To Mix 215/70R15 And 205/75R15 Tires On Trailer?

Question:

Can I run a st205/75R15 with a P215/70R15 on a trailer with out having issues. I had a blow out on the ST205 and my spare is the P215?

For being used as a spare while you get a replacement tire it is not a problem but long term you will want to replace your blown tire with one of the same size.

The reason for this is the 215/70R15 tire is slightly taller than the ST205/75R15 tire you were using and mixing them will cause un-even tire wear and lead to other issues like blow outs down the road due to the height difference.

I recommend replacing your ST205/75R15 tire with the # AM10245 though it would be best to go ahead and replace both tires since one has already blown out and the other one is the same age.

I included a video of the # AM10245 for you to take a look at.
