14 Inch Tire and Wheel Combo with Aluminum Wheels for a Horse Trailer

Question:

# LH84VR Is this wheel compatible with my 1991 Brenderup Horse trailer? Id on the rusting wheel is FAD I 5- JX14H2 where 5-inch may be 5 1/2inch .. not sure. The center hub is approx. 2.5 inch and edge of bolt hole to center of another is approx. 4.5. I like aluminum to minimize rust. Looking for 4 plus 1 spare solution

Tire and wheel combo # LH84VR is a potential fit for your horse trailer. The wheel has a center pilot hole of 3.19 inches. As long as the wheels attach to your hubs using lug nuts then the larger size is not going to be a problem.

What size 14-inch tire are you using now? If you go to a larger tire size, you just have to make sure that there is enough room all around the existing tires to go to a larger size. If the size you have now is ST205/75R14 then # LH84VR will fit fine.

When using aluminum wheels, you will need to use longer lug nuts to be able to get a tool on them. I recommend stainless steel, # AM90070, sold in quantities of 1. It doesn't get more corrosion resistant than stainless steel.
