Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2017 Chevrolet Express Van

For a hitch the Draw Tite part # DT45507 is a Class IV . Why the higher rated unit. Will the class 4 b ok. ?

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT45507 is basically the top of the line receiver for your 2017 Chevrolet Express Van. It is class 5 with a max towing capacity of 12,000lbs and 14,000lbs with weight distribution hitch. This also has a 2-1/2" receiver opening. If you are not going to be towing close to the weight rating of the Draw-Tite receiver then you could go with a class 4.
For a class 4 receiver I recommend the Etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98861. This receiver has a max towing capacity of 10,000lbs or 12,000lbs with weight distribution hitch. This has the common 2" receiver opening, which offers a large variety of hitches and accessories. I recommend using Curt Multi-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45650 for a ball mount; this includes 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" ball.
